File access covers your world saves. Game settings are managed through the dashboard. There’s no FTP, SSH, or arbitrary plugin installation.

We fix problems on our side, but can’t fix every game bug or recover every damaged or incompatible world. You can restore a working backup or reset your world.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can I start playing?
Your server deploys in under 60 seconds. After checkout, you are redirected straight to your dashboard with a ready-to-use server. There is no manual setup, port forwarding, or home computer to leave running.
Does my server stay online when nobody is playing?
Yes. Your server runs 24/7, so your friends can join whenever they like, even when you are offline.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes. Built-in DDoS protection helps keep your server reachable when attacks happen.
Does BetaHost support crossplay?
If the game supports crossplay, BetaHost supports it too. Which platforms can play together depends on the game.
What can I do from the dashboard?
Start, stop, or restart your server, edit its settings, upload and manage world files, and create or restore backups. You can also view the console, players, performance charts, activity, and your general server information.
How do backups and restores work?
We create one automatic backup every day and keep daily backups for fourteen days. You can also create manual backups; they are kept indefinitely, with a limit of five retained at once. Restore any available backup with one click.
Can I upload an existing world?
Yes. Bring your existing world from your computer or another host and continue where you left off. Our world upload guide explains how.
Can I download my world?
Yes. You can download a complete world from a backup or download individual world files directly from the dashboard.
Are game server updates automatic?
Yes. Your server restarts automatically to install updates when no one is playing, so updates won’t interrupt your game. You cannot delay or disable automatic updates.
What files can I access?
You can upload, download, and organize your world saves directly from the dashboard. Learn more about how to manage your world files.
How do billing and refunds work?
Choose monthly, six-monthly, or yearly billing. You can request a full refund of your initial payment from the billing page within 14 days of purchase. Renewal payments are excluded. Your subscription ends and your server stops when the request is processed. Backups remain downloadable for 30 days after your subscription ends.
